Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls
Early in the morning after your breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel in Entebbe by your guide/driver who will give you briefing before setting off a 5 hours drive to Murchison falls national park. You will have a one hour visit to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking. This is a breeding center that was established to stock and bleed the Rhinos that will later be reintroduced into the park having been depleted in the 1970’s due to excessive poaching. After an 1-2 hours of rhino viewing, you will have lunch and proceed to Murchison Falls national park with a visit to the top of the falls for a remarkable sight and sound of the Nile crushing through a narrow gorge. Dinner and overnight stay at Pakuba Lodge (Deluxe) /Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury).
Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise to the bottom of the Falls
Wake up early for breakfast and embark on a game drive in the northern part of the park in search for early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. Expect to view lots of wildlife such as Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, African Lion, Leopard, Jackson’s hartebeest, Uganda Kob, lions, waterbuck, buffalos among others moving through the lovely savanna grasses. Return to the lodge for lunch and later head for a launch trip on the river Nile rewarding hippos, crocodiles and over 20 unique bird species such as the goliath herons, Egyptian geese, and many more. Dinner and overnight at Pakuba Lodge (Deluxe) /Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury).
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After a heavy breakfast, you will set off a long scenic drive to Kibale Forest National park, a home to 13 primate species. The journey goes through beautiful Albertine Rift, countryside homesteads, and banana plantations among others. Reach Kibale Forest National early in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at Primates Lodge Kibale/Chimpundu Lodge (Luxury)/Chimpanzee Forest Lodge/ Turaco Treetops(deluxe).
Day 4: Chimp habituation Experience/ Chimpanzee tracking and nature walk
After early morning breakfast, you will proceed to Kanyanchu to start the Chimpanzee habituation experience where you will observe the time-to-time behavior of the chimpanzees returning in the evening. This will give you ample time to take enough photos for the primates, which will apart from the chimps include Colobus Monkeys, Baboons, vervet monkeys among others. 10 Days Uganda safari, Alternatively, you may go for gorilla tracking where you will spend one hour with the chimpanzees. And in the afternoon, go for a nature walk to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Primates Lodge Kibale/Chimpundu Lodge (Luxury)/Chimpanzee Forest Lodge/ Turaco Treetops(deluxe).
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park and Boat Cruise
After your breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP reaching early with game viewing en route for games like elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks. You will have your lunch which will be followed by a tremendous boat cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will be rewarded with a view of the game as Hippos, 10 Days Uganda safari, Crocodiles, several water birds like cormorants and Pied kingfisher among the others. Dinner and overnight at Enganzi lodge/Buffalo Safari Lodge (Deluxe)/Mweya Safari Lodge/Katara Lodge (Luxury).
Day 6: Game drive and community walk/forest nature walk
You will wake up for a cup of tea and thereafter meet your guide for an early morning game drive through in the Kasenyi sector where you will see the game like a lion, elephants, hyenas, leopard among others. You will then set off to Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park passing via Ishasha sector for a game drive in search of tree climbing lions. Proceed to Bwindi NP reaching in the evening for Dinner and Overnight at Bakiga Lodge/Gorilla Mist camp(deluxe)/ Kiho Gorilla safari Lodge(Luxury).
Day 7: Gorilla trekking adventure and transfer to Mgahinga NP
You will head to the park headquarters after your breakfast at 7am with your packed lunch to be briefed about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. You will then be allocated the gorilla tracking group and proceed to track the gorillas in the forest. This will take 1-7 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. After one hour with the gorillas, you will return back to the lodge for refreshment and then transfer to Mgahinga NP reaching in the evening for Dinner and overnight at Lake Mulehe Safari Lodge(deluxe)/Gahinga Lodge(Luxury).
Day 8: Golden monkey tracking/Batwa Cultural trail and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, you will EITHER go for golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga National Park OR go for the Batwa cultural trail where you will learn more about the Batwa cultural tradition. On return, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi where you will have a boat ride around the islands learning about the history and culture around the lake. Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National park.
In the morning after a relaxed breakfast, you will drive a three hour journey to Lake Mburo national park reaching early for lunch. Lake Mburo is one of the smallest savanna parks in Uganda with animals like impalas, zebras, elands which are only in this park. You will enjoy an evening game drive in search of game as zebras, impalas, elands, giraffes among others. Dinner and overnight at Rwakobo Rock(deluxe)/ Mihingo Lodge(Luxury)
Day 10: Guided nature walk and transfer to Entebbe.
After an early breakfast, you will go for guided nature walk in the park where you will encounte the game while on food. Later, set off back to Entebbe with game drive en route as you exit the park. You will make several stopovers to do shopping and photography at the equator reaching Entebbe in the evening. Check-in into your hotel for overnight or transfer to the airport for departure if on schedule.
