On this Uganda Safari, you will enjoy several adventures that include chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National park, the primates capital with over 13 primates species, mountain gorilla tracking in Bwindi impenetrable national park, a UNESCO world heritage site, game viewing and a boat safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park and Lake Mburo National Park.
This trip starts and ends in Kampala/Entebbe.
Brief Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and nature walk.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and boat safari.
Day 4: Game drive and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National park.
Day 5: Gorilla tracking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 6: Transfer to lake Mburo national park and boat safari.
Day 7: Guided nature walk, game drive and transfer back to Entebbe.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
Your guide/driver will meet you in the morning at the hotel or at the airport on arrival for a briefing about your safari and expetations.You will then set off a six hour journey to Kibale Forest national Park, home to over 13 primate species including chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, blue’hoest monkeys, vervet monkeys, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red Colobus among others. This scenic six hour journey will be coupled with breaks for stretching and refreshing, taking you through the tea plantations, reaching Kibale Forest in the afternoon. You may go for nature walk to the crater lakes upon arrival or for village cultural walk time allowing. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge/Turaco Treetops (Deluxe)/Chimpundu Lodge or Primates Lodge Kibale (Luxury) or similar.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Nature walk.
After breakfast at 6:30am, you will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while on chimpanzee tracking adventure. Led by the ranger guide, you will enter the forest at 8:30am to start the search for the chimpanzees, an activity that will take 1-3 hours. During the trek, you may also encounter other primates that live in the tropical rainforest. Upon meeting the chimpanzees, you have up to one hour to learn about these great apes! After spending one hour with the chimpanzees, return to the park headquarters for debrief and transfer to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for nature walk to Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you will encounter several primate species as well as birds. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge/Turaco Treetops (Deluxe) /Chimpundu Lodge or Primates Lodge Kibale (Luxury) or similar.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park and Boat safari.
In the morning after a relaxed breakfast, you will set of a three hour journey to Queen Elizabeth national park with enroute view of the Rwenzori mountain ranges. You will reach Queen Elizabeth national park early for lunch. Later at 2pm, you will go for a boat safari along the Kazinga channel, a natural gateway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George with a highest concentration of hippos. A boat cruise is one of the amazing adventures in Queen Elizabeth National park as it offers chance to see lots of wild game such as hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight Mweya safari Lodge/Elephant Plains Lodge/Katara Lodge(Luxury)/ Buffalo Safari Lodge/Enganzi Lodge(deluxe) or similar.
Day 4: Game drive and Transfer to Bwindi National park.
After an early breakfast, you will go for game drive along Kasenyi sector in search of game as lions, leopard, elephants, buffalos among others. You will then set off to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park passing through the Ishasha sector, famous for the tree climbing lions. You will experience game drives in the wilderness and try out for the look out for the famous tree-climbing lions. Continue to Bwindi National Park reaching in the evening. Relax at the lodge as you await the next day gorilla tracking expedition in the ancient rain forest. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge/Gorilla Mist Camp (Midrange) / Kiho Gorilla Safari Lodge (Luxury) or similar in other sectors.
Day 5: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
Wake up very early for breakfast at 6am. The guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Do not forget to carry your packed lunch and all the necessary gear that you need to track the endangered mountain gorillas. Gorilla tracking is one of the most exciting wildlife safari experiences that you will need to to experience in a lifetime! You will be guided by knowledgeable tour guides who will interprete to you the local flora and fauna that live in the impenetrable forest. You can also learn about the lifestyle of the mountain gorillas as well as their behaviors. On return from the gorilla trekking adventure, you may go for a guided community walk where you will interact with the people living in the neighboring communities. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for Dinner and overnight at Birdnest@Bunyonyi resort(Luxury)/Bunyonyi Rock resort(deluxe)
Day 6: Transfer to lake Mburo and boat cruise
After a relaxed breakfast, you will set off for Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savanna national park. Despite its size, the park is the best place to see zebras, impalas, giraffes and elands among others. Upon reaching the park, go for a boat safari along Lake Mburo. The boat cruise will reward you with sightings of interesting game as well as a variety of birds. Dinner and overnight at Rwakobo Rock (Midrange) or Mihingo Lodge/Kigambira safari Lodge (Luxury)
Day 7: Transfer back to Entebbe and departure if on schedule
After breakfast, go for a guided nature walk in the park to encounter game as zebras, impalas among others. You will then have a game drive to see animals that may not be seen on a nature walk. You will exit the park and set off back to Entebbe. Enroute you will have a stopover to look at the Equator -where you will be able to stand and be on both hemispheres at once. You will arrive to Entebbe early in the evening and transfer to the airport to check in for your departure flight if on schedule or overnight.
