A 4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari that offers two different treks to the mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National park in Northern Rwanda. You will meet the mountain gorillas in two different gorilla families in the park. You will then enjoy golden monkey tracking on the fourth day.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
The tour guide/driver shall pick you from the airport on arrival or from the hotel in Kigali and take you for an optional Kigali city tour. Visit the genocide memorial, Nyamata church, local markets among others. You will then drive northwards to Volcanoes NP for dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge(Luxury)/La Palme Hotel(deluxe)/Muhabura Hotel(Budget)
Day 2: 1st Gorilla trekking adventure and cultural walk
In the morning, will head to the park headquarters after your early breakfast with packed lunch to be briefed about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas then proceed to track the gorillas. This may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the Gorillas on the day. In the evening, you will go for a cultural excursion to the Banyarwanda community where you will learn more about Rwanda’s people and culture. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: 2nd Gorilla tracking and nature walk
Have an early breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing before embarking on the second gorilla trek in Volcanoes national park, this time tracking a different group. In the evening, you may go a nature walk. 4 Days Double Gorilla Trekking, Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Golden Monkey tracking, Transfer to Kigali, and departure
In the morning, you will go for golden monkey tracking, where you will encounter other monkey species. On return, transfer back to Kigali and do an additional city tour and later transfer to the airport to check-in for your departure flight.
