Bwindi Impenetrable national park is located in south western part of Uganda neighboring Rwanda and Congo. Uganda is known for inhabiting endangered mountain gorillas in two national parks that is Bwindi and mgahinga national park. The park covers an area of 32,092 ha above the sea level. In the whole world, mountain gorillas are only spotted in Volcano national park in Rwanda, Virunga national park in Congo, Bwindi impenetrable national park and mgahinga national park in Uganda.

Bakiga Lodge is a mid-range lodge situated in Ruhija sector in Bwindi impenetrable national park. The lodge has a wonderful accommodation for visitors looking for a real African experience with great views built on the top of a beautiful valley overlooking Bwindi forest. The Lodge offers 6 family Cabins and 2 twin tents, all self-contained with ensuite bathrooms, flushing toilets, tables, chairs and spectacular views.

How to access Bwindi park?
Bwindi impenetrable national park can be accessed by either road transport or air transport. By air transport, visitors may fly from Kigali international airport to Bwindi or Entebbe international airport. While in Rwanda, visitors will take about 3-4 hours to reach Bwindi whereas in Uganda visitors may fly from Entebbe International airport to Kisoro or kihihi airstrips where they will have few hours drive to Bwindi.
While by road transport, visitors may access Bwindi through Kampala-Masaka-Kabale-Kisoro road which will take about 9 hours to Bwindi park. Although the journey looks long, it is worthy it and many visitors have enjoyed the road trip due to various sceneries spotted along the way like Lake Mburo national park, landscapes, mountains, hills and many more. While visitors entering Bwindi through Rwanda will use about hours to reach the park.
