A 3 Days Rwanda gorilla Safari that combines gorilla trekking and golden monkey tracking in the Volcanoes National Park. On this trip you will have a day with the mountain gorillas to one of the habituated mountain gorilla families in the park. You will also have an hour with the golden monkeys, the endangered monkey species that is so playful and endemic to the Virunga mountain ranges. After the trek, travel back to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National park.
You will be picked by your tour guide from the airport on arrival or from your hotel in Kigali and go for an optional city tour to visit the Gisozi genocide memorial, Nyamata church, local markets among other areas of interest. You will then drive to volcanoes National park in Ruhengeri with a spectacular view of the Virunga Mountain ranges. Dinner and overnight at Muhabura Hotel(basic)/La Palme Hotel(deluxe)/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge(Luxury).
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and cultural walk.
You will wake up early for breakfast and then transfer to the park headquarters by 7:30 am to start the briefing about the dos and don’ts with the gorillas. 3days Gorilla Tour Golden, You will then be allocated the gorilla tracking group and then the driver will drive you up to the starting point of the gorilla tracking group allocated and then ascend the forest for the memorable adventure. Once you see the gorillas, a maximum of one hour is allowed to stay with them before descending back to the starting point. On the descent, you will meet your driver/guide and drive back to your Lodge for refreshment. In the evening, you may go for a cultural walk to Iby’wachu where you will be entertained in Banyarwanda traditional songs and learn more about their culture. Dinner and overnight stay at your Lodge.
Day 3: Golden Monkey tracking and transfer back to Kigali and Departure
In the morning after an early breakfast, you will gather at the park headquarters for the briefing before ascending the forest for golden monkey tracking where you will enjoy their play in the forest in search of food. On return, you will set off back to Kigali reaching early for shopping if necessary and later transfer to the airport to check-in for your departure flight.
