This 8 days Uganda primates Safari takes you to Murchison Falls National Park, one of the best savanna game parks where you will enjoy exclusive game viewing. While in the park, you will enjoy game drives through the northern part of the park teemed with lots of wildlife. You will also take a boat ride along the Nile River and on its shores, you will see lots of birds and wildlife. Later travel to Kibale Forest National Park, a forest with the highest density of primates in Africa. You will track the chimpanzees in the Kibale Forest national park as well as a walk through the Bigodi Swamp. Within Queen Elizabeth National park, you will also enjoy game drives in popular trails as well as a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel with the highest concentration of hippos. The trip ends in Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will crown the safari with an amazing trek through the gorilla sanctuary. You will track a habituated gorilla family within one of the four sectors of the park.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls NP.
At 7:00am, you will be picked from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and set off to Murchison Falls National park, reaching Ziwa Rhino sanctuary by 11:00am for Rhino Tracking. After tracking the Rhinos for 1 hour, you will continue to Murchison Falls NP with en route lunch, reaching by 3:00pm. You will then visit the top of the falls where you will enjoy the scenic mighty Nile forcing itself through a 7 metre gorge, pouring down with a thunderous roar. You will then drive to Pakuba Safari Lodge(deluxe) /Paraa Safari Lodge(Luxury) for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise.
In the morning, you will wake up early to go for morning game drives to be able to catch up with early risers like lions, leopards, hyenas, bushbucks, among others before they return to their hiding places. Return to the hotel for late breakfast, relaxation as you wait for lunch. After lunch, you will enjoy a boat cruise to the bottom of the Murchison falls, which will reward you with a view of game as hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, elephants as well as a variety of bird species. Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic journey to Kibale Forest National park, a hope to 13 primates species, making it a primates capital. This 7 hours journey will take you through the Albertine rift found in the Western arm of the Great East African rift valley. Reaching Kibale Forest national park early evening, relax and refresh at the Lodge in preparation for the encounter with human’s closest cousins the following day. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge/Turaco Treetops (deluxe)/ Kibale Primates Lodge/Chimpundu Lodge(Luxury) or similar.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking, and nature walk.
Have an early morning breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for pre tracking briefing by the park warden. You will then enter the forest in search of the chimpanzees where you will locate them by listening for their pant-hooting calls, then hustle to the area from which they are calling. You will stay a maximum of one hour in the presence of the chimpanzees upon meeting them. You will embark to your lodge for lunch, and later go for a nature walk to Bigodi wetland Sanctuary where you will encounter lots of bird species as well as other monkey species. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge/ Turaco Treetops(deluxe)/ Kibale Primates Lodge/Chimpundu Lodge(Luxury) or similar.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park and Boat cruise.
After breakfast, you will set off a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National park with view of the Rwenzori mountain ranges on the sides as you traverse the Kasese area, reaching early for lunch. In the afternoon, proceed for the launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Different animals that come to drink water at the channel and water birds will be viewed along the shores. Animals such buffalos, elephants, schools of hippos, crocodiles as well as a variety of bird species will be seen. Dinner and Overnight at Enganzi Lodge/ Buffalo safari lodge(deluxe)/Elephant plains Lodge/Mweya safari Lodge/Katara Lodge(luxury) or similar.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After an early breakfast, you will go for game drive in Kasenyi sector in search of game as lions, elephants, leopard among others. You will then transfer to Bwindi National Park passing via Ishasha sector with game drives search of the famous tree climbing lions which are always spotted clinging on old fig trees. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest found in the southern part of the country. On your arrival, you will relax at the lodge while preparing for the gorillas the next day. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge/Gorilla Mist Camp(deluxe)/Kiho Gorilla safari Lodge(Luxury) or similar in other sectors.
Day 7: Gorilla tracking and cultural walk.
Early in the morning after breakfast and briefing by a ranger guide, enter the forest for your gorilla tracking adventure. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. Tracking may take 1-6 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas in their natural wild. You will stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour once you encounter them, and then transfer back to your lodge for relaxation. If still early, you may go for community walk to Batwa in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge/Gorilla Mist Camp(deluxe)/Kiho Gorilla safari Lodge(Luxury)
Day 8: Transfer to Kampala.
After your relaxed breakfast, set off for Kampala. On your way to Kampala, you will have a scenic view of mountains, plain fields, and plantations. You will make several stopovers to do shopping and photography, reaching Kampala in the afternoon. Transfer to your hotel overnight or go Entebbe airport for your departure flight if on schedule.
